doctor, doctor i am sick

go to the clinic very quick...

since saturday evening, i've been having dizzy spells whenever i lie down or get up from the bed. yesterday, i had a dizzy spell while i was lying down on the bed! i kinda freaked out 'coz the room was spinning and i wasn't in a spinning (cycling) class! i suddenly realized there has to be something really wrong with me.

so this morning, i went to my healthcard's clinic in makati. the doctor took my b.p. which was 110/80. still normal but since i don't take my b.p. regularly we couldn't say whether it was usual or unusual for me. he also asked questions about whether my family has a history of hypertension (yes), diabetes (yes, yes) and if i've ever had to wear glasses (yes, for astigmatism, several years ago..)

well, it turns out that dizzy spells are a common symptom of many possible illnesses and with our family's medical history, it could very well be any one of them. the doctor mentioned orthostatic hypotension and vertigo (since of course there is spinning and there have been times i go deaf in one ear for a couple of seconds).

of course, nothing is conclusive. he gave me meds for the dizziness but tomorrow i go back for blood tests and an appointment with an opthalmologist as well.

darn...if only humans didn't have to get sick...kinda makes me wish i were invincible to ailments...

so, tonight, i go on fasting for 8 - 12 hours... aaarghh...

tv babe

my adorable goddaughter, julia, has begun to watch tv, vdcs and/or dvds. of course, she can't really "comprehend" what she sees on the screen but she does gaze at the tv, especially if it's barney or cartoons!

bec-bec, dang's househelp and julia's "sidekick", watches tv. in fact, she's glued to the tv when the channel 7 primetime shows are on. lately, they started a new telefantasya and naturally, bec-bec watched it. only this time, with my adorable goddaughter....i just couldn't resist so i took a picture of them...
