The broken clock is a comfort, it helps me sleep tonight
Maybe it can stop tomorrow from stealing all my time
I am here still waiting though i still have my doubts
I am damaged at best, like you've already figured out

I'm falling apart, I'm barely breathing
With a broken heart that's still beating
In the pain there is healing
In your name I find meaning
So I'm holdin' on, I'm holdin' on, I'm holdin' on
I'm barely holdin' on to you

The broken locks were a warning you got inside my head
I tried my best to be guarded, I'm an open book instead
I still see your reflection inside of my eyes
That are looking for a purpose, they're still looking for life

I'm falling apart, I'm barely breathing
with a broken heart that's still beating
In the pain there is healing
In your name I find meaning
So I'm holdin' on, I'm holdin' on, I'm holdin' on
I'm barely holdin' on to you

I'm hangin' on another day
Just to see what you will throw my way
And I'm hanging on to the words you say
You said that I will be ok

The broken lights on the freeway left me here alone
I may have lost my way now, haven't forgotten my way home

I'm falling apart, I'm barely breathing
with a broken heart that's still beating
In the pain there is healing
In your name I find meaning
So I'm holdin' on, I'm holdin' on, I'm holdin' on
I'm barely holdin' on to you

the hunt is on

for new phones :) (yeah, i wish....) my sister and i recently had a "text exchange" and she tells me that she likes another phone or should i say, she's eyeing another phone (she just got her iPhone a couple of months ago). she likes this one while i'm thinking about this one or this one (yup, i'm inclined towards business phones) ;). the funny thing is both are being touted as the iPhone killer. :) has it been such a disappointment? i know i was one of those excited about the iPhone but when i finally got my hands on one of them, i was disappointed :( i'm quite the texter and not being able to forward texts was such a bubble-burster.

so, will my sister and i get our hands on these babies? we'll see...

spring cleaning

i've realized that whenever i have extra time on my hands, i find myself going through my stuff and throwing away what i don't need or don't need to see anymore :) yeah, i know you're thinking that she must have a lot of stuff to go through them only when she has extra time on her hands. yup, i do. first up, my moto v3x...

my moto's phone memory has lotsa pics that i shoot whenever i feel like capturing something or, yes you guessed it, whenever i'm dining out. evidence?

first row, l-r:

1. Buon Giorno's Pizza Margherita - wow, this place serves great italian dishes...when my friends and i are here, we always get the crostini trio + pizza + pasta. i forgot to take a pic of the ravioli (which i love; i love ravioli but you don't really get to find a place that serves ravioli what with the demise of angelino's in megamall...affordable ravioli i must add hehehe) but the pizza well, i did remember to shoot when we were down to the, ahem, last 4 slices. the pizza is big and delicious....

2 & 3. Toast Box's Fried Mee Siam and Thick Slice Floss Toast - this duo is fast becoming a part of my comfort food list. i must admit, singaporean, thai or malaysian cuisine intrigues me no end and toast box is just that, singaporean, intriguing and well, delicious too. Mee Siam can be ordered fried or as soup. i just prefer it fried. floss, well, floss is also a favorite of mine since i was introduced to it by an old friend of mine who is chinese. they always mix their congee with floss. plain congee with floss is so much more delicious than with all the elements added to it in chinese restos...anyway, bread talk (a sister store of toast box) has the famous floss pastry, hot floss and now they have cheese floss. hay, muy delicioso :)

second row, l-r:

1. a "tongue-tied cherry stem" ;)

2 & 3. Secret Recipe's Thai Bagoong Rice and Espresso Cheesecake - wow....this place is hot. i mean the dishes are hot...i mean spicy hot. good thing i have quite a tolerance for spice. although my good friend ian who lives in singapore says their dishes are a bit bland for him, i still like the resto and that's because of the cheesecake. :) the cuisine is classified as asian so there are some thai and singaporean dishes mixed with some lamb dishes but their dessert selection is for me, to-die for. espresso + cheesecake = heaven :) :) :) need i say more?

who watches the watchmen?

yeah, who does? i'd like to :) i'm not really well-versed in graphic novels but when i saw the trailer of this movie a couple of months back, i was extremely intrigued and spellbound by the trailer. my good friend r, who of course, is my partner-in-crime for travel, movies and books, knew about it; moreso her brother who has quite a collection of graphic novels and is quite knowledgeable about this stuff.

i visited the site to know more about the story, read some production notes and even check out the soundtrack. all very "addicitive" :) and the logo, how could i not like it? a smiley...anybody who knows me knows that i love smileys, smileys on my mug, blogposts, text messages, notes, ym ... :) even a blood-stained smiley makes me happy. ever since kill bill 1 & 2, 'the gorier, the better' as me and my friend r always say ... :) :) :)

and an interesting note to the novel, it's in Time Magazine's List of Top 100 English-language Novels. hmmmm truly interesting...

directed by zack snyder (also of 300..."long live king leonidas and the beheaded cutie!" my tagline for that movie), watchmen opens this week ... i hope i can catch it this weekend ...

ho-hum

here we go again....we find ourselves at the bottom of the pit again (and again and again and yet again). am i a masochist (or a sadist? which is which? im always confused...) to find myself in this situation again??? whoever put a curse on my life, stop. please just take the curse back, please...aarrrggghhh!

the conundrum of a vicious cycle. i feel like a hamster on the freakin' wheel, running around in circles...going nowhere. ugh! it gets so tiring. how does one extricate oneself from the "hamster wheel"?

the crisis has certainly drawn itself out too long. i need to find a way out, an end, the light at the end of a tunnel (which somone answered me with "means there's an oncoming car..." hehehehe), the silver lining in the clouds, the silver spoon in my mouth ... ooopppssss...strike that out...hehehe

when i see my goddaughter, i wish i were young again, her age perhaps. yeah, i'd like to go back to those days and wait until i could make some decisions and i'd choose the right ones this time. i know, you think i'm such an ungrateful ass for saying that i regret some of the decisions i made but yes, i am an ungrateful ass sometimes.

hmmm.....does that mean this is my karma? okay, okay, okay, i take that back. i'd make the same decisions if i had to live my life over again. satisfied? okay, so can the vicious cycle stop?

where's my fairy godmother when i need her?
